Deep Listening in the Neighborhood 2024-2025
With John Kiemele, Cris Kerekes and Jackie Trotter-Dove
September 26, 2024
Deep Listening in the Neighborhood is an advanced training in missional spiritual direction and deep listening that immerses us into the heart and movements of The Holy within our particular relational contexts. Through this practice-based cohort, we aim to listen deep into Spirit and wide into our neighborhoods.
In nine online sessions, we will explore:
- Deepening my heart as a neighborhood listener
- Tending the soul of my neighborhood
- Designing a practical, embodied Listening Plan with my neighborhood
Deep Listening in the Neighborhood builds upon prior experiences of spiritual direction and deep listening with individuals or groups. Deep Listening in the Neighborhood sharpens our discernment of God’s invitations and inspirations to be a deep listening presence in our neighborhoods.
This next cohort of Deep Listening in the Neighborhood begins ONLINE on Thursday, September 26th from 6-8 pm eastern, and then continues every 2 weeks until early December, with three Thursdays in 2025, concluding on January 23rd.
